Three Held For Posing As Cops, Robbing Trader | Gurgaon News – Times of India

GURUGRAM: Three people were arrested for allegedly posing as police officials before abducting and stealing from a city-based trader, cops said on Monday.
The complainant said he was asked to bring 150 RAM and an equal number of processors to HUDA City Centre in May. The caller, who he believed was a customer, sat in a car with three more men, two of whom were wearing a Delhi Police uniform.
The accused then snatched the trader’s phone, pushed him into the car and started driving, the complaint said. They then kept the RAMs and the processors, and soon after, pushed the trader out of the car.
Jaswinder (28) was arrested from Sirsa on June 25, following which the Avesh (30) and Naveen (27) were arrested from Nehru Palace in Delhi, police said.
Police found that Avesh and Naveen ran a business selling and buying computer parts in Delhi. After looting 150 RAM and processors, they sold them in Agra for nearly Rs 2 lakh. Jaswinder worked as a taxi driver, and the three had met earlier when they were lodged in a jail in Rajasthan in separate cases. An FIR has been registered under IPC sections 365 (abduction), 392 (robbery), 394 (causing hurt), and 34 (common intention) .
