AurangabadOn Friday evening, the area of ​​the river located in Dadhapa village of Amba resonated with the sound of gunfire. Two people were shot by bike-borne criminals, in which one died while the other has been referred to PMCH Patna for better treatment in critical condition. The deceased has been identified as Sujit Mehta, a resident of Dadhapa, while the injured has been identified as Chandan Mehta of the same village. The criminals have fired two bullets in the chest of Sujit Mehta and in order to save Chandan also two bullets were fired. By the time the villagers started running towards the river after hearing the sound of bullets, the criminals had fled after executing the incident.

The villagers brought both the injured to a private clinic in Aurangabad city for treatment, but both were referred considering their condition. After bringing him to Sadar Hospital, the doctor declared Sujit Mehta dead. The news of Sujit Mehta’s death spread like wild fire in the entire area and a crowd of people gathered at the Sadar Hospital. On getting information about the incident, Sadar SDPO Gautam Sharan reached the hospital with Omi Dal force and questioned the people.

It is worth mentioning that the deceased was the husband of Suman Devi, Ward Councilor of Zilla Parishad area number 24. Sujit was also accused of killing Munna Singh, a strong leader of Amba. The police is busy investigating who killed Sujit Mehta. It is said that Sujit Mehta was going to the market with sandalwood on his bike. As soon as he reached the bridge located on the Batare river, the criminals ambushed the vehicle from the east.

Four overloaded trucks seized in illegal mining, six drivers and co-drivers arrested

Aunt killed in road accident, nephew injured
